Work you'll do

Responsibilities of role -

·       Establish and lead an enterprise-wide Data Strategy & Governance Office comprised of data stewardship and data quality accountabilities for enterprise data assets

·       Effectively communicate the strategic value and impact of data governance at an executive level, gaining support and investment to meet governance, organization and technology needs

·       Evolve the global data strategy in alignment with business and enabling area strategic goals, providing thought leadership and insights into external leading practices

·       Influence leaders across businesses, Member Firms and enabling areas to develop and align on procedural and systematic data standards that ensure timeliness and quality, while complying with data privacy/protection regulations

·       Reinforce global master data governance principles and processes and promote adoption across data management systems and teams

·       Facilitate resolution of complex issues related to conflicting data ownership, data and rule definitions, data availability and usage across a broad network of stakeholders

·       Develop culture of continuous improvement by consistently striving for ways to strengthen “end to end” process perspective for global master data

·       Lead, motivate, and grow newly established team of data stewards, while coordinating efforts of federated data stewards in other data organizations

·       Work effectively with Technology teams to convey and coordinate delivery of master data requirements

·       Oversee management of Data Governance toolset, providing direction on data model

The team

The Transformation team is responsible for identifying innovations internally and externally and applying them to Deloitte’s global transformation strategy.  The team manages related strategic projects coordinating heavily with global functional and technical teams.  The team reports to the Chief Transformation Officer and has frequent exposure to the CIO, COO and other senior leaders across Deloitte.  The team accelerates transformation through innovative change across DTTL and Member Firms enabled by globally integrated, consistent and transparent business processes, investment frameworks, and program leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with Master's degree preferred
  • 7+ years experience in a senior-level data governance role
  • Proven effectiveness in achieving consensus across a broad array of stakeholders
  • Ability to apply and coach the principles of data excellence, including development of problem statements and best practice action plans
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills (including facilitation, presentations and email)

·       Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple projects simultaneously

·       Experience working with large enterprise applications (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Informatica) strongly preferred
