Work you'll do

  • Lead the annual compensation review process for approximately 2,500 professionals in the US and APAC countries who are assigned to Deloitte Global. Ensure tools are prepared to support the annual compensation review. Prepare comprehensive report of findings and develop executive summary presentation for review with senior management.
  • Liaise and build relationships with local Compensation contacts on US and APAC countries.
  • Ensure compensation is competitive through market analyses, creative use of rewards programs, and a focus on delivering an employer of choice strategy through strategic and operational HR excellence.
  • Review and analyze competitive market data and develop recommendations for updates to job architecture, salary structures and bonus targets as appropriate.
  • Provide guidance to Advisory on pay decisions, policy and guidelines interpretation, and job descriptions specific to compensation-related programs.
  • Prepare materials on compensation training and education.
  • Keep apprised of federal, state, and local benefit & compensation laws and regulations.
  • Lead assigned compensation projects including the design, communication and implementation of new plans and programs.
  • Liaise with US payroll to action compensation changes.

Qualifications

 
Required:
 
  • Minimum 5 years of compensation experience.
  • Employee-pay expertise including job evaluation, market pricing, and incentive plan design required.
  • Expertise designing pay structures.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and influence as appropriate is essential.
  • The successful candidate should be results-oriented and have the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Self-confident, self-motivated and highly organized with a strong sense of personal accountability.
  • Strong communication skills, including excellent written, verbal and presentation capabilities.
  • Strong analytic skills; ability to analyze, synthesize and draw conclusions from data is key.
  • Experience working in a dynamic / matrixed organization.
 
Education and experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree and CCP certification required
  • Advanced business degree or certification in GRP desired
 
Preferred:
  • 1-2 years’ experience at the manager level preferred.
  • Experience implementing pay structures on a national scale.
  • Experience with compensation in non-US geographies (APAC countries in particular).

Deloitte Global is required by local law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role for individuals applying to work in our Baltimore, Chicago, Minneapolis locations. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top end of the range, but such a decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the range is $107900 - $179900 for individuals applying to work in these locations.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
