Work you'll do

This is a Senior Manager role with Deloitte Global (DTTL,) ideal for individuals who either already have, or would like to, gain global experience. Due to the global nature of this role, relocation is not required, nor supported. The role sits within the Global Tax & Legal Talent team working very closely with the GT&L Talent Partner and supporting the Head of the GT&L Talent team.  This is a remote role with the flexibility to work a five or four day work week. 


The role of Global Tax & Legal Talent Senior Manager includes:

  • Supporting the appropriate Global Tax & Legal Leaders and key stakeholders with the strategic direction of Talent initiatives that need to be undertaken to advance the GT&L Strategy.
  • Being a strong Talent advocate across the global business in interactions with leaders.
  • Leadership of specific projects and initiatives within each of the GT&L Talent strategy pillars: Growth, Transformation and Brand.  This will include, but not be limited to, talent needs analyses, research of best and leading practices (both within and outside of Deloitte), solution design, testing and roll-out, supporting member firm local implementation of solutions, evaluation of success and validation of progress.  Program success will be dependent upon defining and building (or sourcing) agile solutions, rapid deployment, member firm/service line adoption and implementation.
  • Identify appropriate subject matter experts (both internal and external) and manage relationship with such individuals to ensure timely creation and delivery of appropriate solutions.
  • Work with other Talent professionals to contribute to and shape the debate on talent challenges facing Deloitte.
  • Some operational management of the Global Tax & Legal Talent team, including resourcing, performance management and development of team members, as appropriate.


The role will initially include leading/or supporting team members on the following specific projects:

  • Shaping the point of view on Future of Work in Tax & Legal
  • Researching, designing, and rolling out various Employee Value Propositions for Tax & Legal required to grow and transform the business
  • Assisting and developing Talent projects that arise from the digital transformation of Tax. Working with the Transformation team and MF Talent leaders on the output of the pilot workshops
  • Teaming with other specialists in the Global Tax & Legal Office to support increased member firm and service line use of Delivery Centers
  • Representing Tax & Legal on cross-business committees responsible for the coordinated and consistent roll out of Global Talent Standards - working with key stakeholders to define launch deliverables and communications process needed to activate Global Talent Standards effectively in member firm Tax & Legal practices
  • Teaming with other specialists in the Global Tax & Legal Office to drive the adoption of the Global Tax & Legal Common Storefront and the culture change required
  • Researching, designing, and rolling out the Tax & Legal point of view on recommended new Talent Model frameworks to support different practitioner profiles required to support transformation of the business
  • Co-ordination and management of the Global Tax & Legal Talent Board, with a view to encouraging collaboration, consistency, and transparency across the Tax & Legal Talent network. 
  • Supporting the creation of a GT&L mobility strategy
  • Supporting and advising on strategic resourcing projects across the business
  • Some involvement in Global Diversity, Equality and Inclusion initiatives, as well as Wellbeing initiatives

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent (preferred) 
  • Additional professional qualification.HR or Talent (or technical Tax or Legal) related preferred. 
  • Ideally 5+ years working in a HR/talent environment. 
  • Understanding of professional services organisations and the complexity of working within a partnership. 
  • Experience of working with senior stakeholders in the business. 
  • Experienced project manager used to working in multicultural environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a virtual team. 
  • Excellent English language proficiency (written and spoken).
