Work you'll do

As part of the Global Cybersecurity A&E team you will partner with the Deloitte Technology Product & Solution team to create, implement and apply automation within DevOps principles, processes and culture. You will provide subject matter expertise on DevOps, leading our engineering teams in implementing security controls and tests in an Agile development environment. You will advocate to the application teams automated requirement validation techniques for improving end-to-end secure delivery practices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work to implement, automate, integrate security practices and tooling within the Agile Security Software Development Lifecycle’s (SSDL) processes. (e.g. Threat Modeling platforms, App Sec testing tools, etc.)
  • Strive to bring excellence and simplicity in design, adoption, implementation, acting as trusted advisor to the application teams.
  • Strive to bring excellence and simplicity for continuous improvement, integration, development, and deployment pipelines (CI/CD).
  • Collaborates with other professionals to ensure high quality deliverables within organization guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, technology-related field, or equivalent work experience

·       3+ years of combined experience in software engineering, DevOps and automation, preferably in an information security context

·       Experience with cloud environments, Azure preferred

·       Experience with automation/configuration management using DevOps tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible or New Relic

·       Experience with containerization and cloud infrastructure management (e.g., Infrastructure as Code, immutable infrastructure, Configuration as Code, etc.)

·       Experience with automation through scripting languages

·       Programming skills in one or more of the following languages for automation (e.g. Java/Javascript, YAML, Terraform, Python, Visual Basic, PowerShell, Bash)

·       Experience demonstrating business impact in combining software engineering skills with systems engineering skills to solve automation and reliability challenges
