Work you'll do

The Cyber Security Analytics Analyst is responsible for secure the operation of the services that fall under the umbrella of Cyber Infrastructure. The applicant should be technical, should possess an advanced understanding across a broad range of security technologies, and take a proactive approach to defending against cyber incidents. 

The individual in this role will work with the team to continually improve the security posture of the Deloitte network systems. The Cyber Infrastructure team collaborates with other Deloitte teams, member firms, and external parties to address/remediate identified security issues.   

Role Specific Responsibilities
  • Locate and extract data from a variety of sources for use in analysis, models and reporting
  • Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics dashboards and other BI solutions to drive data insights
  • Proactively explore new and innovative visual approaches and techniques for data storytelling
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and report results/metrics to leadership teams
  • Recommend tools, processes, and methodologies that support global risk reduction
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant cyber security technologies
  • Assist in drafting and editing IPS/IDS related standards, policies, and guidelines
  • Develop and edit risk models, methods, and procedures
  • Ability to develop visual aspects of analytic solutions to deliver actionable insights

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s University Degree and/or Undergraduate Diploma in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience   
  • 3+ years of work in related technical security roles (such as threat hunting, threat intelligence, security data analysis, security operations, incident response, etc.)   
  • Must have a strong understanding of networking/protocols using netflow, packet level, and analysis methodologies
  • A strong understanding of attacker methodologies, attack lifecycle, MITRE ATT&CK Framework, NIST-800, etc.
  • Data analysis and visualization experience with creating high value metrics for risk mitigation effectiveness
  • Cyber Defense and information security policies, procedures, and regulations
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Suite of products, especially, Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, macros, etc.) and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Splunk and efficient use of query language

Other Qualifications

Preferred Experience
  • 4+ years of work in related technical security roles such as threat hunting, threat intelligence, security data analysis, security operations, incident response, etc.
  • Experience using data analysis tools and technologies, such as Tableau
  • Experience using Cisco products, including Stealthwatch & SecureX 
  • Certifications in Data Visualization
  • Possess industry-recognized security certifications (SANS Certifications aligned to the Cyberdefense track, etc.)
