Work you'll do

  • Leads the ePMO team and serves as the liaison with all other organizations as needed
  • Sets strategic direction for the team and aligns tactical steps to enable and run execution of the strategy; guides team to adopt and execute on the strategy 
  • Helps team adopt, embrace, and align with broader changes within Deloitte
  • Develops vision and overall strategy for the EPMO governance function across Deloitte Technology and Devhubs
  • Ensures ePMO strategy is aligned with overall ITF and Deloitte strategy
  • Implements and administers end-to-end portfolio governance and portfolio management practices and processes, in alignment with the Deloitte Technology enterprise technology strategic goals and objectives, including integration with the annual planning and budgeting processes
  • Leads Deloitte Technology wide portfolio prioritization and reprioritization reviews for all enterprise projects, including transformational projects
  • Accountable for organization-wide education of EPMO policies, procedures, and standards and consistent application across the entire portfolio of projects; engages regularly with all levels of leaders on strategy delivery and portfolio governance performance
  • Collaborates with other PMO organizations and leads alignment of systems and processes as identified Keeps continuous communication/feedback channel open with leadership and stakeholders; gathers feedback and takes action
  • Assesses and provides ePMO support to planned/unplanned business needs 
  • Promotes best practices and guides the team on a path of continuous improvement
  • Provides required support in obtaining, balancing, and managing resource needs; aggressively tracks and manages resource allocation and resource utilization rates at the individual project level and overall project portfolio level
  • Encourages and supports team to stay updated on latest trends and practices
  • Leads the overall project stage gate review process, through conducting readiness assessments to identifying gaps in readiness throughout the project life cycle.
  • Establishes project and portfolio scoring systems to evaluate and measure performance against formalized criteria.
  • Tracks and manages dependencies across multiple projects; leads escalation processes to make issues visible to stakeholders and leadership; drives resolution of dependency issues through the process.
  • Ensures appropriate project hand-off and closure occurs, including holding the final postmortem / lessons learned sessions, and leveraging learnings to improve cross-team project practices.
  • Manage the EPMO team, fostering career development opportunities for team members
  • Focuses strongly on rewards and recognition 
  • Provides counseling and guidance to ePMO senior leadership and the entire ePMO team as needed

Significant experience leading a delivery organization

Strong experience with budgeting, staffing, communications (internal and external), and prioritizing competing demand Superior people and relationship management skills

Experience managing across a matrixed organization to deliver technology solutions and results for functional leadership/stakeholders  

Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Must be able to analyze, understand, and communicate complex ideas across a varied audience

A solid understanding of the nature and dynamics of technology and opportunities globally

Ability to lead peers through influence and vision 

Responsive and client-service focused

Demonstrated understanding of the DTTL organizational structure and matrixed interactions between global and local member firm management and processes

Team leader who fosters a collaborative work environment and can navigate a complex organization that is spread across the globe

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across various stakeholder groups within the Deloitte network Agility and flexibility
