Work you'll do

The Senior Security Analyst reports to the Data Security Enablement Regional Manager. The role focuses on service delivery and operations of our global data protection technologies and platforms. The primary focus of the position is support for Data Protection technologies, processes, and related services. The candidate should have demonstrated expertise in the relevant technologies, ability to deliver excellent service as part of a diverse, international team.

Strategic

• Assisting in management, support, growth, and improvement of the Data Security Services
• Providing periodic operational and ad-hoc reports, covering targeted trend information designed to help measure and monitor risk reduction activities
• Recommending controls by identifying problems and risks, writing improved procedures

Operational

• Provide day-to-day operational support of the security platforms
• Assist internal clients in troubleshooting technical issues
• Collaborate with the Data Security Engineering team in advanced tasks or support cases that require it.
• Configure policies and tune rulesets to align with security trends and data protection hygiene
• Perform and drive policy revisions / changes for the service, including new requirements
• Ensure all security policy and configuration change requests are accurately implemented following standard change control processes and timelines
• Create and update relevant service processes and procedure documentation
• Assist with regular platform maintenance and upgrades
• Stay up to date with internal and external developments of the technology

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience

Work experience

• Minimum of 5 year of experience in the Information Technology / Cybersecurity domain 
• Proven track record and experience of driving solution and mitigation of issues in a highly complex and global organization
• Customer support experience.
• Experience in Data Security and Data Protection is a plus.

Skills/abilities

• Understanding and experience of DLP, Proxy, CASB, Data Classification, and Encryption technologies or similar security solutions, including policy design and implementation is a plus.
• Experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting issues and assisting to mitigate issues is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication. Analytical/problem solving ability. Attention to detail. 
• Creative and independent thinker with the ability to translate business and technical requirements and challenges to leadership.
• Knowledge of configuration management practices and procedures.
• Self-starter able to work independently.
• Operational knowledge with various commonly used operating systems and services
• Network communication basics
• Experience with supporting client-server technologies is a plus
• Experience with PowerShell command-line scripting is a plus
• Windows infrastructure engineering experience is a plus

Certification

• Professional security certification is a plus.
