Work you'll do
As a Global Strategy, Innovation & Public Policy Staff Member within the Public Policy + Geopolitics (PP+G) domain, you will work closely with Global leaders to support and enhance the Global Public Policy + Geopolitical Strategy program, processes, and strategic initiatives. Your insights will contribute to unique and challenging projects that build the future of the global leader in professional services. As part of the Public Policy + Geopolitics domain you will: Have a unique opportunity to be involved in a broad range of activities that are instrumental in shaping the public policy agenda across the Deloitte network and providing strategic insights to the network’s most senior leaders; and analyzing geopolitical developments, their business relevance, and actions to strengthen the geopolitical resilience of the Deloitte network. Support PP + G leadership in articulating the impact of public policy and geopolitical issues on Deloitte and its clients and executing related PP + G programs. Specific responsibilities: Bring a strategic mindset and structured approach to research, analysis, problem solving, and communication - motivated by intellectual curiosity. Conduct research and analysis and summarize the results on key strategic public policy and geopolitical issues to help uncover insights. Conduct quantitative analysis of internal and external data, develop insights, and summarize results to inform strategic recommendations. Prepare briefings and support planning activities for internal and external interactions. Work across SIPP, other Deloitte Global groups, and Deloitte Member Firm (MF) and geography leadership to support PP+G programs and initiatives. Develop a deep understanding of the professional services industry and broader business environment. Communicate your ideas with poise to stakeholders through effective written and oral communication. Manage deliverables with self-direction and a commitment to quality under tight deadlines.
The team
Global Strategy, Innovation, and Public Policy is responsible for charting the direction of Deloitte. Our team works with internal clients to shape and explore the impact of business drivers, supporting key global leaders in defining and enabling the Firm’s strategy, innovation, and policy agenda.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required 5 years of relevant experience or 3 years of experience plus advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., international relations, public policy, international business) Academic or practical experience with public policy, international relations, geopolitical issues, and/or regional studies. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint Proficiency in generative AI applications (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) Demonstrated experience in the following areas: Solving complex challenges with limited guidance using structured thinking Conducting robust qualitative research and analysis Conducting quantitative analysis, including data collection, developing models, and visualization Owning multiple workstreams independently and adapting to changing needs and priorities Building relationships and establishing trust with team members and relevant stakeholders Communicating ideas and concepts in a clear, logical way Foreign language capability and experience abroad preferred Travel required up to 15%

Deloitte Global is required by local law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role for individuals applying to work in our New York and Rosslyn location(s). This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top end of the range, but such a decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the range is $114,000 - 191,000 for individuals applying to work in these locations.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
